Who can Join PCU?
Anyone who resides or works within Progressive Credit Union's common bond (a defined area in north Dublin/Meath as north as Stamullen and south as Howth).
How long should I be saving for before I can apply for a loan?
There is no specific time you need to be saving before you can apply for a loan. As all loan decisions are based on your ability to repay, your savings balance is not the only factor considered.
Is my loan insured?
Yes, for eligible members your loan is covered by insurance at no extra cost - up to 85 years of age and subject to health declaration.(See loan protection for more information).
Does PCU offer online banking?
Yes, so you can control your funds 24/7/365. This service offers EFT, bill payment, internal and external transfers, e-statements, a private messaging facility and more. CLICK HERE to register
What forms of identification are accepted by PCU ?
Acceptable forms of ID
- Passport
- Driver’s Licence
- National Identity Card
- Birth Certificate (for minor accounts only)
Acceptable forms for proof of address
- A utility bill dated within the last 6 months
- A bank statement dated within the last 6 months
- Correspondence from a Government Department dated within the last 6 months
- A current car or home insurance policy that shows your address dated within the last 6 months
