I am incredibly grateful to have been selected as a recipient of this bursary. I would like to sincerely thank the families of Martin Mullen, Sharon Friel and Noeleen Culbert for their generosity and for continuing their legacies through supporting students like myself. I would also like to thank everyone at the Baldoyle branch of PCU for their kindness and support.

As a Graduate Entry Medicine student, this bursary will provide me with significant financial relief and allow me to focus more fully on my studies and training. Graduate Entry Medicine is a pathway that can often be overlooked when it comes to financial supports, despite the substantial costs involved, so receiving this bursary is particularly meaningful to me. I am extremely appreciative of the support and the difference it will make as I continue my journey towards becoming a doctor.

Winning this bursary will do so much for me in the coming year. As I plan on getting a computer to conduct my work on it’ll save me a long commute for days when I can do my work from home. This incredible opportunity will also help with my fees.

Starting college with a long daily commute brings additional challenges for a Type 1 Diabetic. The PCU bursary helps cover commuting costs and allows me to maintain the balanced diet I need to stay healthy and focused as a Diabetic on campus.

It gives me the peace of mind to put all my energy into my degree, and I’m very thankful to Progressive Credit Union for their support.
